Bad Guys or Just plain, DUMB?

So a few days ago I was reading the paper and I’m reading all the exciting news that seems to go in the exciting little world of La Crosse. I’m scrolling and scrolling and run into these sections called courts. Well in these courts section I’m reading more than I expected to read about these guys who strangle their girl friends?! Wow, I thought to myself what is really going? Why are people so psychotic now days? Is it the water or what?
Then I got to thinking wow, it’s all these young guys, then I read on and noticed no, it’s not just the young guys even though, most of them were the younger guys. Anyways I kept on reading and there were all kinds of people in trouble for this type of behavior. I don’t get it, when I was growing a man didn’t hit a woman let alone strangle her!
This one guy is only 23 years old and is charged with strangling his girlfriend. But not only strangling but also biting her. Now wouldn’t you think that if you are strangling this gal, that you really don’t have to bite her either? So this incident happened on April 2.
Then I tended to read on and see the next guy. A 29 year old, charged on April 5th for strangulation and suffocation to his girlfriend! This makes me wonder, how old is she? Why would anyone put up with this? So the one thing I noticed is that they all like to flee from the cops. Not to mention that two out of three were also repeat offenders! So I keep on reading even though my mind was really wondering all sorts of questions. Questions like why do women put up with this? Why do they do this? Was it something they grew up seeing their Mom putting up with it, or did they see their Dad doing this behavior? So I’m confused by this point and distraught in wonder. So I keep reading on thinking the news has to become better than this, nope I read on and I read of another incident from La Crosse, a 41 year old is charged with strangulation and false imprisonment and suffocation? Okay so what the heck do these charges mean, okay I got the part that he apparently strangled his girlfriend or tried to I should say. But the heck are charges for suffocation? Did he strangle her or just suffocate her? Don’t the two words mean the same? Well I seemed to have thought so. But I guess I was wrong. What happened to the boys who were once so innocent at one time? The guys who took you out to dinner and promise not to lie. There were many more. So does Wisconsin have the low self esteem? Or is it these guys are alcoholics or doing drugs that make them react this way? That’s too bad because I do know of a lot of guys who are nice. And these guys give the bad rap for the nice ones.
